A large, clustering, extremely tropical looking feather palm native to a large number of African countries.  Grows in a wide variety of conditions - but grows especially well when given ‘ample’ amounts of water.

All the Phoenixes are ‘promiscuous’ and cross pollinate from species to species, so it’s often hard to be 100% sure what you are getting - but these appear to be ‘correct’ - or at the very least be very distinct from (and dismilar to) the  more common, (in Europe) even larger - and significantly less charming (IMO) Phoenix canariensis.  The droopy leaflets also suggest there is no Phoenix dactylifera here.

So; most certainly these are 'correct’ reclinata.
This -maybe- an interesting palm for the mildest parts of the UK, IMO.  Despite its tropical origins, I have not observed any leaf damage at all at -2 / -3 (under canopy).  None.  Nada, nothing, zippo.  Plus - it actively likes lots of water, so unlike Phoenix dactylifera, it’s not bothered by the UKs seemimgly endlessly wet autumns, winters and springs.  Also appears not to be bothered by strong wind.

So - an epic palm tree, or rather group of palm trees - if it turns out it can be grown here.  Not a great long term indoor prospect however as it has savage spikes on the petiole from quite a young age.

Very fast growing if given lots of water; a bit slower than a King Palm but faster than a Nikau.
